SCA® Sample Management

All the words of the SCA® software and also the reports can be edited in the “Labels” section of the “Administration” menu. Editing the labels can be very useful to customize the program fields and/or translate the reports into a new language.

SCA® allows to add your customized header to the report template including the logo of your center. The new header will be printed in all the reports.

SCA® Analisis Modules

SCA® allows to change the theme for the software and use a different interface color.

SCA® Sample Management

This option explains how to create a new patient into the SCA® database.
It is possible to import patients into the SCA® database from an external file in “Excel” format. This option explains how to import the patients with a couple of clicks.
SCA® Sample Management allows to save the results of an analysis when it was performed manually instead of using an analysis module. With this option all the data and results of the sample will be saved in the same database.
SCA® Sample Management offers an utility for manual counting. All analysis can be performed manually using the counter tool.
An electronic scale can be connected to the SCA® system for volume calculation. It is not necessary to measure the volume, just place the sample on the scale and SCA® will read the volume.
SCA® allows to mark a sample as priority. Using this option, all samples marked as priority will appear in first position in the “Recent samples” panel.
SCA® offers the possibility to validate a sample. When a sample is validated, it will not be possible to modify any data or perform any analysis. When a sample is not validated yet, the reports will include the sentence “Not validated”. This option should be activated in the menu “Administration > Settings > Necessary to validate”.
These are the steps to create a report with SCA®. All reports can be printed or exported to other formats like PDF, Word, or Excel.
Search a sample in the SCA® database. Different search parameters can be used, like CHN (Clinical History Number), Sample Reference, Date, Analyst or Center.
It is possible to delete individual analysis from the SCA® database. Search for an existing sample and click the “Delete” button. A new window will appear showing all the analysis of the sample, select the analysis you want to delete and click the “Delete analysis” button.
A window with a list of the recent samples appears on the right side of the SCA® Sample Management. This window allows to access quickly to the last samples that were analyzed: For example to recover the sample data, the patient data, view results, create a report or perform a new analysis.
SCA® includes the data summarization tool, a very useful utility that allows to select data for statistics purposes.
SCA® allows to create a report with the results of all samples of the patient.
SCA® allows to compare the results of different samples. It is also possible to create a report comparing different analysis.
SCA Evolution allows to add the referring doctor of the patient to the sample information. The doctor will also appear in the report with the patient information.
