Looking at the semen analysis field from the Marketing point of view<\/h2>\n

\"Semen<\/p>\n

Publishing blogs on fertility and animal preservation\u2026 at the end, this is Marketing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the Marketing & Communication specialist at Microptic, one of my monthly tasks is to get a blog to publish in our website<\/a>. What is the purpose of these articles? To nourish the website with new<\/strong>, fresh<\/strong> and varied<\/strong> content. \u201cNew\u201d because a website needs to be alive to get visitors; \u201cfresh\u201d because these articles are informal and not scientific articles (see the scientific section<\/a> if you want science); and \u201cvaried\u201d because of all the typology of our visitors and customers. After all, the final purpose is to disseminate content that could be useful for the readers and, consequently, increase visits. This is Marketing.<\/p>\n

Dissemination, communication\u2026 this is my passion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love and live my job. Communication is amazing. As I said before, every month I try to obtain a blog on different topics, written informally, not too long and signed by the authors (sometimes scientists and sometimes users or others). These can be based on the authors\u2019 experience in semen analysis or another topic\/study in their field. Thus, people can anticipate enjoyable readings. Once published, we disseminate the blog through our communications channels, and this is a good benefit for the writers because, by including logotypes of their centres and links to their websites, the knowledge of their work and web traffic increases. And this is Marketing too.<\/p>\n

My own blog. Why not?<\/strong><\/p>\n

After more than 50 blogs requested, now I\u2019m writing my own. The question I ask myself is: Can I contribute something interesting? Yes! I can contribute my point of view regarding communication in semen analysis field, and specially, in infertility.<\/p>\n

\"Bad<\/p>\n

To provide semen analysis equipment around the world is not just a business. There is something more important and, because of this, I have a mission: to change people\u2019s minds regarding male infertility.<\/p>\n

Males contribute to 50% of infertility cases. However, this is still a taboo and women carry the stigma of being the person responsible for the infertility. For this reason, there are many occasions when women unnecessarily receive expensive and invasive fertility treatments. Therefore, we need to place an emphasis on semen analysis<\/strong>. Microptic\u2019s goal is to provide tools to diagnose the cause of male infertility in order to treat it, if this is possible, and avoid unnecessary ART to woman.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to say that this is a health issue because, according to the WHO<\/a>, infertility is considered a disease.<\/p>\n

We want to build a better future!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Communication\"<\/p>\n

And this is amazing! As I said previously: dissemination, communication\u2026 this is my passion. Marketing actions with this objective mean something personal for me. I am a woman; I am a feminist, and I do my bit.<\/p>\n

Some weeks ago, I received en email from Professor Ashok Agarwal (Director, Andrology Center and Director, American Center for Reproductive Medicine, Cleveland Clinic, United States): \u201cThank you Microptic for making sure that evaluation of Sperm is critical as up to half of all causes of infertility in a couple involves male factor. With numerous advances in the field of reproductive medicine, many patients with male factor infertility these days could be successfully treated of their infertility – allowing these couples the possibility to experience parenthood\u201d.<\/p>\n

This message makes sense of my work. The communication in this direction must go on.<\/p>\n
