Last November I had the opportunity to visit Colombia for the first time. It was a very busy trip but very well organized and supported by our distributor ANICAM Enterprises.

The first day I visited ANICAM’s offices and spent some time exchanging knowledge about our companies and products. I had also the opportunity to experience the huge traffic jams in Bogotá. It’s a big problem there but anyway I was lucky to meet Arturo, my pleasant driver, who made the long trips short.

The second day, Ms. Natalia Giraldo from ANICAM and I got up very early to go to Manizales, a very nice city in an amazing Greenland place. There we visited one of our clients at University of Manizales and we presented our SCA Evolution at SENA of Caldas (Centro de Formación Cafetera). Apart of several problems with our flights and other “chocoaventuras” (Natalia teached me this word) it was a really productive day.

Almost without time to step on the hotel in Bogotá, I was again in the airport to Barrancabermeja, a really warm city famous because of its oil company. This time Ms. Leyla Bernal from ANICAM come with me. There we installed a complete Research SCA with all analysis modules at Universidad de la Paz. I hope Dr. Villa and his team (find a picture below) will achieve interesting results with our CASA system soon. I need to thank again Dr. Villa for his hospitality; it’s a pleasure to meet people as motivated and enthusiastic as him.

After two days in Barrancabermeja we came back to the regular winter weather in Bogotá. There, Natalia was waiting me to visit some clients and share impressions with them, before going back to the airport to Barcelona.

I’d like to finish this article expressing my gratitude to all people I meet in Colombia, especially to Natalia, Leyla, Angela, Dr. Villa, Arturo and his brother. It was a pleasure and I hope to see you soon my friends!
