SCA® Leukocytes is a module for the automatic analysis of human peroxidase-positive leukocytes, in samples treated with the Leukocytes slides SCA.
A semen sample is mixed with a specific substrate for the peroxidase enzyme. If there is peroxidase, the substrate containing hydrogen peroxide will be reduced. At the same time, diaminobenzidine (DAB) will be oxidized and turn into an insoluble brown product.

Cells are detected automatically by the presence of the enzyme peroxidase in cells.
